Keep curiosity alive 〰️
Spread the word
Tell friends, family, colleagues, exes, and strangers on the internet about how they can support Words in the Wild’s Teaching Fellowship.
You never know who might want to keep curiosity alive unless you ask. We know sharing a campaign can feel a little weird, but we also know that community support is key to creating the world we want to live in.
If you’re willing to be bold, we’ve made it super easy to spread the word.
Just copy, paste and share.
I. Drop them an email
Here’s an email template to consider sending folks in your virtual rolodex.
Hi there!
If you’ve found yourself thinking “I wish I could do something” lately, you’re in the right email.
Literacy education is drying up, and while maybe you’re not planning to become a literacy specialist, you can help support the people who are doing this important work.
Words in the Wild is raising $58,500 to fund their Teaching Fellowship through 2026—and you, along with me, can join the joyful fight to keep curiosity alive by making a donation, or forwarding this email to all your favorite (and hey, even least favorite) people.
Literacy shapes everything: our self-expression, our interpersonal relationships, and our global innovation. Without it, our world becomes small (and we’d miss out on true crime podcasts. Yikes!).
Yours in literacy,
[YOUR BEAUTIFUL NAME]
II. Send them a text
Sure, random acts of texting links is usually advised against. But we’ve verified this link, and even wrote you a message to share/
Yes, this is a spam text, but it’s from me and not some stranger who leaves you wondering “where did you get this number?” I’ll get to the point: literacy education funding is drying up, and I decided to do something about it…and thought you might want to as well. Check out Words in Wild’s fundraising campaign, Keep Curiosity Alive. Every little bit helps!

III. Post on LinkedIn
Yes, you can post whatever you want on LinkedIn. Even fundraising messages. Especially when they’re relevant to the working world. Here’s something you could say:
Can you imagine being who you are, right now, without your skills in reading and writing? It’s probably close to impossible. And yet, funding for literacy education is drying up.
Maybe you can’t switch careers right this second and become a literacy educator, but you can support people who are doing this important work — and training others to do the work more effectively and efficiently to reach more children. Check out Words in Wild’s Keep Curiosity Alive fundraising campaign. Every little bit, and every repost, helps.

IV. Post on Facebook
People really still do scroll Facebook. We know, we do it. And if you give them some tasty content, they usually read it!
Let me invite you to stop scrolling and conduct a little thought experiment:
Could you be who you are, right now in your exact life, without your skills in reading and writing? Didn’t think so.
And yet, funding for literacy education is drying up. But you can help, the same way I did: by supporting Words in the Wild. Every little bit helps.
